Christopher Frost

Christopher was born in Reading in 1983 and was encouraged to play music from an early age. Starting with the violin, then piano he later progressed onto the saxophone, which became his primary instrument, and also plays the clarinet.

Christopher went on to study music at the University of Southampton. During his stay he performed in the symphony orchestra, symphonic wind orchestra and composed, arranged music and played sax for a ska band. He also furthered his musical experience playing jazz, rhythm and blues, folk and contemporary music. With this wide background of musical styles and influences Christopher turned his attention to composition. He was soon awarded with an MA distinction in Composing for Film and Television from Kingston University. He continues to work on many composing projects now ranging from music for animation to pop songs.

Christopher enjoys working in education and teaching instruments to all ages. He gains particular enjoyment from working with his school saxophone ensemble and wind bands and hopes that by composing pieces for instrumentalists of all standards he can encourage people to keep music in their life.

Christopher has recently completed two single person musicals and is continuously composing saxophone quartets, concert band pieces and music for a variety of ensembles in education. He also has 5 works that have been published by Warwick Music:
